Animation art

SilverHawks was drawn on paper and painted on acetate in Tokyo by Pacific Animation Corporation, for Rankin/Bass in New York, across sixty-five episodes in a single year. Tens of thousands of cels were made and almost none of them surface. Below is what can be traced: the pieces that have crossed an auction block, then the ones sitting in private collections.

These are not for sale and carry no price. They are here because their owners put them where the rest of us could see them. If one is yours and you want it credited differently or taken down, tell us and it goes.

Why the section is this size

There is no shortage of SilverHawks images on the internet, but a screencap is not animation art and a cel from another Rankin/Bass show is not a SilverHawks cel. What is here is what can be traced to a lot record or to a named collector. The section grows when something real turns up.

If you own a cel, a drawing, a model sheet or a storyboard from the show, we would like to photograph it properly and credit you.
